SAN JOSE, Calif. (February 22, 2017) – The Silicon Valley Auto Dealers Association (SVADA) has donated $100,000 to the San Jose Flood Victims Relief Fund. Bay Area storms have triggered severe flooding in neighborhoods throughout Santa Clara County, forcing thousands of residents and businesses to be evacuated. This donation will support nonprofit organizations providing immediate and long-term relief and recovery assistance to flood victims.

“We are deeply saddened by this tragedy that has impacted the flood victims in our community,” said Silicon Valley Auto Dealers Association Chairman Shaun Del Grande. “The new car dealers see our community as one big family, and our family needs our help. We hope our support can provide immediate assistance to those impacted by this disaster and encourage others to donate.”

The donation from the SVADA is one of the first to the San Jose Flood Victims Relief Fund. Recipients include the Red Cross Silicon Valley Chapter, Catholic Charities USA, The Salvation Army and Sacred Heart.
